Adult Family Therapy
Family dynamics can continue onto adulthood and complicate connection. When conflicts are compounded by expectations from multiple cultures, family legacies and intergeneration wounds, it can be difficult to navigate on your own.
I help adult family members hold complex conversations, recognize their respective wounds, identify their emotional needs, including from systemic stressors and maintain closeness. An aspect of this process is pausing and slowing down your interactions to clarify your process, to understand your long-standing patterns, and their origins.
By engaging in self-reflection, remaining open to owning your role and being willing to link your vulnerabilities (areas of insecurities) to your reactivity, we can address old wounds, clarify expectations and collaboratively co-create a way of relating as loving and compassionate adults.
